Good things for the week:
*The next (and final) book in the Millennium series was released in the US.
Been waiting for this!!!! I haven't dug into it yet because I know when I do it will throw me into an 8-hour echo chamber where all food/drink/chores/conversation will be IGNORED until I get to the last page. (I'm thinking tomorrow might a good day to settle in with it.)
*I don't have cancer. So that's really good. (Had a weird mole-thing that suddenly popped up on my chin over the last few months removed a few weeks ago and had to wait for the test results to come back on it to be sure it wasn't cancer. I guess it's a 50/50 deal with that type of fast-growing growth but I ended up on the right side of that '50'.) Though the whole episode is probably a precursor of things to come as I get older so I'll have to stay vigilant about getting bumps checked on....no biggie there. I can live with that. Who knew about sun disease in the 70's when I was growing up? I remember having one peeling sunburn after another as a kid and nobody thought anything about it. It just was what it was. Oh well. Not much you can do about it now, right? I haven't had a tan in at least the last 18 years so hopefully this is the last of the scary skin issues. *crosses fingers*
What else good is going on??

My goodness Melanie! That's awesome news though :o) It never hurts to be that careful though but it's the waiting and wondering that is the hardest.
Glad to hear you're cancer free. I can relate, being a redhead that grew up in the late 60's and 70's. My skin sizzled plenty of times, too.
Great news, you must be so relieved... I had a couple of scares myself and was fine too, but it makes you think. It's so good to be declared healthy!
Have a good time with Millenium 3: I read all 3 in a row, barely breathing between books. Loved them!!

Glad to hear that your "weird mole-thing" was nothing to be worried about, Melanie. I had a similar scare, but the dermatologist said it was nothing to worry about either. I felt like such a load was lifted off my shoulders when I heard that news! Like you, I was a teen in the late '60s/early 70's and none of us heard anything about the dangers of tanning. I sure have watched it since I was 20 or so, though!
Francoise - I started reading it and whooooooooooo boy it's good stuff!!!
Carol - if you want to scare yourself, do a Google image search for cutaneous horn. That's what the mole thing was, though, obviously, I did not let it get to circus freak levels before I had it taken care of. OH.MY.LORD.NO. lol
