Resurrected.

And not just the blog. (Because I see I'm in a 'not very posty' posting mood again of late.)

I mean my long-buried, long-dead, long-ignored Scrap Blanket of Doom project.
I 'remembered' I wanted to try and get back to this (after not having touched it since LAST January or so!!!) this year, in the form of doing two squares per month. Each square only takes about 90 minutes (not counting the time to weave the middle closed) so it's HARDLY a monumental time taker-upper to get TWO measly squares done per month. So I powered through six of them to 'catch up' with the 2012 calender over a few nights............here's hoping I can stick to it over the course of the year!

Added to the previously done squares

If I do keep to it I could have, like, 50 squares total done by the end of year. Which means I would only need...........................100 or so more for a good sized blanket! lol

Yep. Back on track to finishing this up by 2020 or so. *snort*

Well, at least you don't have the back panel of a vest you promised your husband for his birthday . . . in 2009(?). hehehehe

That is a very cool square. As the parrot said --- you can do eeet!!!!

I'm thinking about what I want to do with my future sock yarn scraps. I'm thinking the 10-row zig zag blanket.

Such pretty yarns. That will make a great blanket eventually. Hope you manage to keep going with it. These long term projects can be a bear .. always fun to start, but the middle is always tough to slog through.

How about the quilt I started in 1989?

Ooooooo...lovely colors. Although I did hear a "dum Dum DUM!!" after reading "Scrap Blanket of Doom". But it's so preeeetty....

Wait, we're supposed to finish all these things we start? Who made that rule?

They're seriously fAnTASTIC!! I like Heather's comment about who made the rule that we must finish what we start! I always do those "if I just do two a month" things and then put the project away. Even if it does take you till, oh, 2020, it'll be worth the effort!

I think that non-bloggy bug is making the rounds, I know exactly how you feel!

LOVE your blanket squares! I've been on the fence about starting one...I have enough scraps to feel guilty about, I love that blanket (it's the one in Knitalong, right?), but would I ever ACTUALLY finish the thing?!?! LOL!
