Merry Christmas!!!

That Maru is a cutie, isn't he? I LOVE that blog.
I have a few cuties of my own too though. :)
Maggie. Taking advantage of an empty tin on the stove. So cute but......*sigh*. Her 'new' thing is sleeping on the stove, which is sure to be completely disasterous at some point, of course, when she jumps up there when the cook top is still hot. :(
Yelling at her is useless because she's deaf. All I've got in my wheelhouse re: bad behavior is pantomiming anger with finger pointing and Angry Face and stomping my foot on the floor. Needless to say, she laughs in the face of my acting skills. lol

(Let's not pay TOO much attention though to why I have an empty 3lb.+ shortbread tin BEFORE Christmas has even hit, ok? December is for cooking NOM NOM NOMs. lol)

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!!!!! We're on the way out the door to go catch a movie after a busy day. I'm bringing along some knitting for the car ride (an hour each way.......gotta love living in the sticks!) because I STILL have not finished my Xmas knitting. lol  Nothing like last minute clickety clack clack clack knit knit knit knit!
My brand spanky new knitting bag from Ravelry. Adorable!!

Can't show what I've been working on until I pass them on but here's a peek of some of it:

Your Maggie is cute! You must have a radiant top stove - I don't like how it takes so long to cool down. The knitting sneak peek looks wonderful. I'm going to start a small colorwork project soon. Merry Christmas!

Hey i share a name with your cat, lol. But she looks cuter (is that a word!!) than me, lol.

Re stopping the jumping on the cooker thing,(you are right, could be very dangerous), i read somewhere that squirting cats with water does the trick, stops unwanted scratching of furniture etc. so i tried it when we had new dining furniture as i didn't want then jumping up onto the table and the sideboard, i got an old squirter bottle with just water in, whenever they attempted to jump up they got a squirt of water, after a few times just showing them the bottle was enough to change their minds - you have to actually catch them doing or attempting to do whatever it is you want them to stop though. Might be worth a try, especially as Maggie is deaf.

Have a great Christmas x

Your cat story is funny! I hope you don't have a "Cat on a Hot Steel Stove" situation, though.
Merry Christmas! Your knitting looks great. Hope to see the full view at a later date.

Merry Christmas, Melanie! Your cat is just too cute in that tin, but yes, jumping on the stove... could end badly one day. Too bad she does not heed your acting skills. Hope you enjoyed the movie and got all your knitting done by now.

Maggie looks right at home in the tin.... And I will confess it would be empty in this house too, way too tempting for a biscuit craver like me.
Hope you had a lovely festive season

Oh, how darling Maggie is!! I once had a deaf cat, too, you do worry about them!!

Pretty, pretty knits, Melanie--can't wait to see them all finished up.

Hope your Christmas was joyful and may 2012 bring you much love and laughter!!

Okay, won't go into the cat on the stove thing--that'd freak me out, worrying about it being hot, but I like Maggie's suggestion. But--what a CUTE cat!!

OMG - Maggie is just adorable! I know the feeling about the cook-top though; i am always worried that one of my feather-monsters will land on a hot stove. Scary.

Happy New Year and I hope that you will have a beautiful and fabulous 2012
