July/August Blackbird Stockings

Fini.

I really really really need to not let these build up again because doing the finishing on these six at a time, well, it sucks. There really is no other way to put it. lol

Eight months down, four more to go. And then........then I don't know what. All I know is that I am determined to see this project through to the end. I bought all 12 booklets and I'll be damned if I don't use all 12 booklets.

Upskirt pic for those who like such things (sssh, I won't tell!):

Beautiful stockings! You did such a great job finishing them! You're much braver than I am. I'm terrified of the finishing part! lol

You did a gorgeous job of both stitching and finishing! Can't wait to see the next set.

Very nice. I like the beading on the loop.

Is finishing off these stockings as bad as weaving in ends in knitting?

You are on a roll - so productive . I did not buy the charts because I thought I would never do them. Now I see the finished.... tempting. But I have so much I need to do, like I need to update my blog... maybe I will go do that now.

Margaret - Hmmmm, I actually don't mind weaving in ends so I don't know how to answer that. lol
I think these are a little finickier to finish only because of the curves. It's not *hard* - but it does take a tiny bit of extra time to 'massage' the curves to look really good. :)

They're so pretty! And your finishing is perfection. I've only made one of these stockings so I know what a pain they are to finish. Great job!

I really, really, really have not forgotten to send you yarn! The contractors in my house (knocking down walls and such) have me distracted. Sigh.
