Note to self:

Never ever ever get this behind in paperwork again.
Ever.
Never.

I thought I had just been slacking since February. Urmm......how about mid-January? Yeah, it was bad. My right shoulder was completely numb by the time I was done from all the typing, typing, typing, typing. On the positive side, I can't get into TOO much trouble between now and October when I need to do my taxes with the town so those will be a snap to do this year.

The only thing better than finally tackling all that is...

...finishing one of the mittens up. And take a look at that THUMB. That might just be the neatest thumb join I've done. I keep finding myself staring at it, I'm so impressed. (Thumbs can be tricky!)

Now I just have to whip up another one just like it. *sigh*

Seriously, that is an amazing mitten! Wow, great job.

The paperwork--oy. The bane of the self-employed, I'll tell you. Well, that and the taxes. ;P

Love the mitten! I hear you on paperwork. Definitely don't accumulate 5 years worth of bill stubs and receipts and say you'll take care of it later. It is hell weeding through all that...trust me!

That is a complex pattern for that mitten. You did a great job on the whole thing, not just the thumb.

You would thing that in this paperless age, we wouldn't have to do paperwork anymore.. but no such luck. I sympathize.

That mitten is amazing! Excellent work :)

I hate doing paperwork too, although I'm not quite as far behind. At least it's done now and off your mind for a bit.

Thanks for the encouragement re: the LCR stockings - I think I might try the fairisle pattern next as there are fewer isolated single colour stitches than in the tree pattern so hopefully it'll be a bit easier.

Paperwork is like laundry - never a good thing to let it pile up!!

You are so right - I have only stitched two pair of mitts and the thumbs were not the highlight. LOL Yours looks amazing.

That is an impressive knit! Bet you had to concentrate with every stitch. I haven't really tackled stranded work yet. You do inspire me, though.
