Mischief Managed!

I've been meaning to do a Harry Potter themed-set since forever but I finally hunkered down this week and nailed one down in between working on custom orders.
I think................I like it. lol
Took a couple tries on everything (except the 'house colors' stripey beads) to tweak the details - Hermione's hair in particular was a humdinger to work around the bead hole nicely. But I think it has all the important bits, right?

The husband thinks they look rather glum but, ummm, he did see the same movie I did, right? To say this last movie is glum is an understatement! (The words bleak, depressing, oppressive, and downright morose also come to mind............GOD I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT AGAIN THIS WEEK!!! lol)

I'll have a set up for sale sooner vs. later - I just want to work up another one to really get a sense if 1) I want to make any additional changes and 2) how much time it takes to do it all in one bit for pricing. I'm not sure I'll include the Deathly Hallows symbol though? Yay or nay on that? It adds to the price (which won't be too cheap because these are tricky to  make) and I'm not sure it's really needed. All the other beads cover ALL of the movies/books, while that one is particular to just one bit. Oh well. We'll see how I feel when I come to it. :)

Hope everything had a nice Thanksgiving weekend and/or just a nice weekend in general! Our weekend was full of work, work and more work but the holiday itself was blissfully quiet AND lazy. It was quite nice! I didn't burn the house down or anything making dinner so that's good too. lol
I definitely didn't overeat at all but I did eat 2523623512341234234123 more carb grams than I've been used to of late. Oof. HELLO BLOATY  McBLOATerton. Not loving that. Back to low carbing............right after we have pizza for dinner tonight. lol (What can I say? We ran out of leftovers already and I wasn't mentally prepared yet for cooking dinner again.)

SO COOL! Boy, they look like a lot of work. I say the beads on the ribbon would be enough for me :o) JMHO though.

OMGosh! Those beads are AWESOME! You are so talented! I'm a huge HP fan...I liked HP#7 part 1, but it wasn't my favorite of the series so far (I think I'm the only person with that opinion!)

Oh nice! I love the set! Don't think the extra bead is necessary, but it's up to you in the end.

Wow Melanie, what a great job you did with these beads. I love what you do with the glass. I do a bit of beading, but haven't tried using the glass beads - may have to try it sometime in 2011.
