Bleh. Bleh. Bleh.

Don't forget I'm having a giveaway this week!! You have another day to enter so get going!!! (I probably won't pull the name until later in the day tomorrow.)

This week is kind of blechy because I have an ear ache............AGAIN. Fourth time since August and it's getting OLD. :( I get it cleared up (in my left ear), get about a week or so reprieve and then it starts up again. I have prescription drops and stuff but I think they're useless. I hate hate hate hate going to doctor for stupid reasons (especially because I've had ENOUGH doctor's visits lately, thank_you_very_much) but obviously I'm going to have to go back in if it comes back again. What do they do then? Put a stint in or something? I don't have children so I've never had to deal with this round-and-round-we-go ear ache thingy. lol Hey, maybe I can get myself some adult diapers and a BOTTLE and get the full baby experience! *snort*

Anyhoo, I'm still diligently working on my Sock Blanket squares here and there while in the car (I don't drive) and waiting at appointments, etc. I had a three-hour (!!!) seminar last week which was GREAT for knitting - finished not one but TWO squares during that baby!!!!! I washed and blocked another batch the other day and took pics:

I must have been going through my 'blue' phase with these. LOTS o' blue!
This dark blue one has a bit of cashmere in it and is quite delicious. :)
I think I have 16-17 squares done now? Only 999 bottles of beer left to go!!!

Pretty squares! This will be a fun blanket!

My daughter (as a toddler) had lots of ear infections. Lucky for us, all she had to do was go on low dose antibiotics every winter. That seemed to do the trick for her. Maybe that would work for you too? I was always grateful we never had to do the ear drains surgery. Ugh! Hope your ear clears up and you don't have to worry about it anymore. Such a pain -- literally!

Ooooo...some pretty colors in those blocks.

Hope your ear clears up soon.

I'm having similar problems (different body part -- but recurring infections). I know they can absolutely drive you crazy!

I hope your ear trouble clears up soon! We use a sweet oil with garlic and golden seal in it. We also do ear candeling ( found in health food stores in case you havne't heard of it) and have success with that.Might be something you might think about.

I seen a girl on Martha Stewart yesterday doing the glass beadwork that you do. Wow! There is a lot involved with that! I was thinking, "this should be Melanie that is on here"! Maybe one day eh?

Those are going to look fantastic when you start piecing them all together!

Hope you're feeling better soon :) Ear aches and tooth aches are the worst!

I'm lovin' those squares!!

About those ear infections.... I am so sorry you are having repeats. Some infections have to do with your ear not draining properly. A chiropractor can give you an adjustment of your ear, which will help that tremendously - I don't recommend you have that done while you have an ear infection though, wait until it clears up. Hope it is gone soon.

Oh, such pretty colors--your blanket is going to be just lovely!

So sorry to hear about your ear problems, Melanie--I've never heard about recurring ones like that in adults. It must really be painful...

Love the wonderful colors in your knitted blocks!

Hope your earache resolves soon. I had my first ear infection six months ago. Way painful...eek.
