Rain, rain, rain this week.

Starting to get a little depressing.
You know what's NOT depressing?
Finishing up my clown socks.
Project details are on Ravelry.
Hellooooooooooo lover!
Stripey yarn? Check!
Awesome pattern doing awesome things to stripey yarn? Check!
Finished in about a week? Check!
IT'S HITTING ALL MY BUTTONS, PEOPLE! lol

This is my 6-7th time doing this Jaywalker pattern and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. It's just so easy and, combined with the stripeyness, I *heart* those zig-zags so so so much. I'm a simple folk who likes simple things, I guess. (Which is a more positive way to say that I'm easily amused/distracted.) Knitpicks no longer has this Felici yarn in this colorway *but* they have a new one called Rainbow that is very very similar. I say get some for yourself and go to town with it. Such a small price for such happiness, how can you resist?
I'm debating on whether or not I should squirrel these away for September for The Fair in case I don't have anything better to enter for judging. Hmm. One the one hand, it's a ridiculously easy pattern which I'm sure the judges know which will give me less points but, on the other hand, OMG THE AWESOME VISUALS of it. We'll see. For the moment I'm going back to working on the Neverending-Sucking-The-Life-Out-of-Me Spiral scarf. (I'm motivated, at the moment, by thoughts of entering it into The Fair........which I'm sure will be worn off in a few days as I'm struggling to finish a paltry three spirals a night when I need at least eleven billionity more spirals to finish it up. *sigh*)

Geez, I don't think I've ever seen a more perfect sock! The colors were made for that pattern. I have not yet tried Jaywalker (though I have knit many a Monkey sock) because of my unnatural fear of DPNs. I use circs almost exclusively.

@Margaret - You could easily use circulars for this pattern! It divides up neatly without any issues. :)

Great job Melanie! I LOVE these socks! I even have the needles and yarn to make my own but I don't know how. LOL!
